The Hives - Walk Idiot Walk.  It's my theme song for today.

I actually checked his stuff out after you posted him a couple of times in the girl talk thread! This song of his is indeed amazing!! Listened to it on a loop for while ...

For now..the last song I listened to was The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars...its grown on me for some reason

I just listened to Sufjan Stevens' Year of the Ox.  I am actually born in the year of the Ox, so this is cool to me.  Full of weird electronic goodness

Nice braces on your future wife, Hylton!!  You know, tartan braces.  Hehehe........

@Kat - that is a good song of Sufjan Stevens.  The rest of Michigan can be kind of sad.  But Illinois the album is his best ever.

No, not at all. Different lyrics, different style and completely different rhythm. But it's funny that they have chosen the same title.
Here it is:

Phoenix - Girlfriend.  It just has this really addictive melody!!  About as close to pop music as I can get.

I've been listening to a lot of World music lately.

I just put on hold to the maximum of 15 World music CDs to add to my iPod. I'm putting the 3 most well-known World music places last: Latin American, African and the islands--especially Jamaica for last, as I have several of those on my iPod already, and they are easy to find as they are the most popular kind of World music. I put on hold less popular: European World music like Greek, Italian, French, and  also Asian.

^It's a new discovery. I quite liked the rhythm and the lyrics.

I usually don't listen to Eminem that much, but I enjoyed this song a lot. I'm listening to it right now.

At first I thought she was Amy Winehouse (who I like). But hearing the music then I definitely knew it wasn't her. Amy sings jazz & blues.

^Interesting music!!  Right now I'm playing The Walkmen's album A Hundred Miles Off.  It's a little strange, kind of indie-blues mix with an awesome little drummer.

The song is Tenley-Town.

So that's where she got her name. Good song as well, not usually into it but I liked it.
For those who want Electronica and Alternative Rock. I need to find more music like this.

^Yeah, it's true.  Voxtrot just comes from the band... Voxtrot, lol.  It was playing on my ipod when I signed up this account, so I stole it.  But in my defense, I have admitted to it a number of times, lol   :embarrassed:

It's actually funny to me that you guys have been listening to this Voxtrot song, because I've never heard it.  I'm actually only a part-time Voxtrot fan and I've only got this one ep called Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives that someone gave to me.  It's got some pretty good songs on it, but their very different to Sway.  More drums and stuff, although I quite like Sway.  But sadly Voxtrot is no more, because the band split.

The last song I listened to was Sufjan Stevens - You Are the Blood.  It's spooky.  Sky, you should look it up, cos it's kind of in the 'electonic and alternative rock' category.  Although I'll have to send it to you because it's a hard-to-find cover track.
