It certainly helps to have a love and respect for the language, and to really want to write.  If you don't, and it's just a chore, then it'll be harder.

How'd you do in English class?

What about starting a blog somewhere?  There are lots of forums that have built-in blog sections.  Practice.  Try to do it regularly.

Maybe take a class or watch some YouTube tutorials.

Read.  Reading and writing go together.

I'm pretty uh.. average in an english class. Not awful but when there are so many people who are good at it nope not really and usually I compare english to other languages which flow better. English has that formulaic science type sound which is nice sometimes if you can get it sounding right.

Also I never did that well in english literature because I didn't enjoy the books we were reading as much, although they were 20times more interesting when we analysed them in the way we did, I still needed passion for the book. Like pride and prejudice is really interesting (after you analysed it to death) but its characters were all people I could not relate to in anyway. English language was ok though, the coursework marks made me drop a bit but I admit I really enjoyed analysing poetry and the way language flows though its a bit different to lit.

I had a blog on wordpress but I dropped it for a bit, its something I'll eventually go back to but need enthusiasm for. I could always blog on another topic though. But atm I'm more interested in story writing than essay writing so I started writing a story though i'm not sure i'll finish it.

It never even crossed my mind that there would be tutorials on youtube though. I suppose there is still more I can learn about the language there,

I read fictional books sometimes but recently a lot less of them, its probably something I could do as I read a lot more non fiction. There are a lot of half decent and good YA books I could read for a quicker read as well as sci fi, fantasy and surrealism (and of course classics that are good).

1. Write as you speak. Writing is just talking to the page.

2. Read everything you can get your hands on, voraciously. You will pick up language, syntax, punctuation, etc., as you go.

Indeed I don't suck as writing as much as I used to because I read a little more so more reading for structure could be good. and writing thoughts helps.

You should probably learn how to clean your inbox so I can talk to you. Not trying to sound mean here.

I figured out the flaw to this forum, then.
